About the Artist

Ronit G. Wiener

I was born in Israel and my parents raised our family in the Midwest. My creative career began after graduating from Michigan State University with a Bachelors Degree in Advertising. I have been painting on and off for about 18 years and I work mostly with acrylic on canvas.   Over time I have gradually been adding mixed media into my work. I often begin with black and white photographs and allow my imagination to develop a different and more interesting color scheme. I love using vivid colors in my paintings and I like painting people or themes regarding political, religious or personal ideas.
